James G. Thomas Jr. (Pastor Jim or PJ) has served as pastor of Holly Springs Bible Fellowship since 1992.
While in college, I met a southern gal from Virginia. I was a city kid from Chicago. We dated for about 3 years and got married in 1983. We both served as teachers at a Christian School in Virginia. I then served for 3 years at a year-round youth camp in Wisconsin. In 1986, we took a position as a Youth Pastor at Billy Sunday Tabernacle in Sioux City, Iowa, where I served for 5 years.
In June of 1992, I began filling in the pulpit for this small rural church. I served as a bi-vocational pastor for about 9 years at Holly Springs while my wife continued to teach Kindergarten in Sioux City, Iowa. In 2003, I began shepherding the church full-time.
We are the proud parents of 2 sons, both married (so we have 2 great bonus daughters), and everyone lives about 6 miles from each other. We also get to enjoy our 4 grandchildren, and we still worship together as a family every week. When I am not serving our church family, you can usually find me blowing glass or riding my motorcycle.
If school is important to you. I hold a B.A. in Bible from Bob Jones University and an M.A. in Biblical Studies from Grace University (Summa Cum Laude).
